Photo ID pictures is now easier than ever, thanks to easier access to digital cameras. You won't need a top of the range model, any digital camera will do the job.
Below are some tips and general advice for taking photos, of course this does not need to be done as you can take the photos however you wish.
1. Setting Up
Ideally you should arrange for photographs to be taken in a room with as much natural light as possible, to maintain a consistent image for your photographs it is often worth using a single colour backdrop or wall behind the subject.
If you are taking lots of pictures, it is recommended that you stagger the arrival of staff to ensure that the picture taken is clear before moving onto the next photo.
Remember to ensure you have enough batteries, film or digital media to complete the shooting of employee photographs.
2. Taking the Pictures
Your staff will be wearing the photos in plain view during every working day, so for this reason you should attempt to get the best possible likeness you can. If you need to take several shots you can do so without costing you film or money by using a digital camera.
Another advantage of using a digital camera is the ability to show the person a preview of the photo on the camera's LCD screen or connect most cameras to a monitor so they can view the image easier.
